One ship,
every sea.
Kaptin turns the machine you already own into a crewed ship. Claude, Codex, and your other AI agents build side by side in one desktop workspace, while you take the helm: describe it, watch it get built, review every change.

Meet Flowery. Built one prompt at a time.
Take the guided tour in a clickable copy of the Kaptin app: prompt Claude, watch Flowery appear in the browser, hand the backend to Codex halfway, then ship frontend and API with a deploy workflow.
Scripted demo with sample content — no live agents run behind this page, the deploy is simulated, and Flowery is a design demo, not a working store.
From “what if?” to working software.
Four steps, one window. Kaptin organizes the work; your AI coding agent does the building. See the full walkthrough →
Bring an idea or project
Start something new or open an existing codebase. Your files stay on your computer, in a project you control.
Work with an AI agent
Describe the task in plain language, pick an agent — Claude, Codex, Muse, OpenCode, or Ollama — and collaborate in a conversation.
Preview and inspect
Review the output as it lands. Preview web projects in the integrated browser and inspect every change in Files.
Keep improving
Continue the conversation, spin off a separate task, or switch agents. Your history and files are always one click away.
Every sea needs a different crew.
Founders, shop owners, creators, engineers. Different starting points, same destination: something real you can open, click, and improve.
For founders
Turn your idea into something you can test — prototypes, landing pages, and product flows, organized as you explore.

Build tools that fit the way you work — service sites, dashboards, and booking concepts you can actually review.
See business ideas →For creators & hobbyists
Make the thing you've been thinking about — a personal site, portfolio, or small app — without mastering the whole codebase first.
Start creating →For engineers
Keep agent work organized — separate conversations per task, your choice of agent, and results you can inspect.
Work your way →For product & prototypers
Make ideas easier to explore — prototype a flow, test a concept, hand engineers a tangible starting point.
Prototype faster →For first-time builders
Describe the result in ordinary language. Your agent handles the technical work; Kaptin keeps it organized and reviewable.
Start from zero →Everything around the agent, in one place.
Kaptin doesn't replace your coding agent — it gives every conversation, file, and preview a home.
One project, many threads.
Keep the homepage redesign, the bug hunt, and the wild experiment in separate conversations — each with its own history, agent, and context. Switch without losing your place.
Use the agents you already pay for.
Connect Claude, Codex, Muse, OpenCode, or Ollama — through your existing CLI subscription or your own API key — and switch agents per conversation. Kaptin never locks you to one model.

Preview your project beside the conversation that created it. Attach screenshots straight back into the chat — including cropped regions — so the agent sees what you see.

Fair questions, straight answers.
No — and that's on purpose. You connect your own agent subscription or API key, so heavy usage never inflates your Kaptin bill, and light months cost you nothing extra.
Everything. The full workspace for 7 days; cancel before it ends and you're never charged.
Yes — cancel in a couple of clicks, keep access until the period ends, and your projects stay on your machine either way.
A few good questions.
What exactly is Kaptin?
Kaptin is a desktop workspace for working with AI coding agents. It organizes your projects, conversations, agent choice, file inspection, and previews in one app — the agents themselves (Claude, Codex, Muse, OpenCode, Ollama) do the model-driven coding work.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You can describe what you want in plain language and let an agent do the technical work. That said, generated apps still need review — Kaptin makes that review easy with the Files tab and integrated browser.
Which AI agents does Kaptin support?
Claude, Codex, Muse, OpenCode, and Ollama. You can pick a different agent per conversation and switch as your task changes.
Do I need my own agent account or API key?
Yes — one or the other. Sign in with your existing CLI subscription for an agent (recommended) or add your own API key in Settings → Agents. If you're signed in with a subscription, Kaptin prefers it; otherwise it uses your API key.
Does Kaptin include AI usage?
No. Your Kaptin subscription covers the workspace app. Model usage is billed by your agent provider under your own plan or API key, so costs stay transparent and separate.
Can I work on an existing project?
Yes. Open an existing folder as a project — including Git repositories — or start fresh. Kaptin never auto-commits; reviewing and committing stays your call.
How does the integrated browser work?
It previews your project beside the conversation, auto-refreshing while you work. You can capture full-page or cropped screenshots and attach them straight back into the chat.
Where are my project files stored?
On your computer, in the project folder you chose. Conversations and credentials are stored locally too. Anything you send to an agent is processed by that agent's provider under their terms — see our privacy page.
Which operating systems are supported?
macOS, Windows, and Linux. The download button detects your OS automatically; every platform gets the same workspace.
How do I install or update Kaptin?
Download the installer for your OS, run it, and sign in. Updates arrive automatically in-app — you'll see a prompt when a new version is ready. See getting started for the full walkthrough.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Use the manage-subscription link anytime; access continues until the end of your billing period. Cancel during the 7-day trial and you pay nothing.
